OCTOBER INTERNAL SQUASH LEAGUES

Hi Everyone

Thank you to everyone who played or tried to play their league games last month. It is greatly appreciated and helps to ensure that the leagues operate smoothly especially player movements up or down at the end of the month.

Unfortunately for one reason or another we had two leagues where not a single match was played last month. There were also a few leagues where only a small number of games had been played. The lack of games played in these leagues has made it challenging to move players up or down between the leagues in a fair and measured way. This I know can be disappointing for players and sometimes perplexing when the movements don't necessarily match their league positions. Ensuring leagues are relatively equal in numbers of players also provide additional challenges in organising the leagues.

As we move into October please could I urge players to ensure their league games are played. Could I also ask that everyone responds to message requests to organise games as last month there were players who had tried to organise their games, but didn't receive replies to their messages.

To ensure that leagues don't become static (because players are not playing their games) we remove players from the leagues who haven't played a single game for two consecutive months.

I'm sure many of you were pleased to see that we were up to seven leagues in September with a lot of our squash members involved so it would be great if we could make our October leagues and beyond competitive with a good number of games being played in every league.
