MAY 26 - SQUASH LEAGUES

Hi Everyone

Thank you to everyone who has tried to play their league games over the last month (April). It is always difficult to play your games during the club's 'competition month' so I appreciate the effort that has been made.

Last month Will Hetherington joined our internal leagues. It's great that new members are continuing to add extra competition to the leagues, so a warm welcome to Will.

A reminder that playing in our leagues means you can also be part of the National/Worldwide Squash Levels scheme. To learn more about this just click on SquashLevels which can be found at the top of our Internal Leagues page. If you tick the box at the beginning of this line this will allow your league results to feed into the SquashLevels calculation system. When you look at the leagues players who have ticked the box will have a score number against their name. Naturally the higher your score is the higher your ranking is both nationally and worldwide. There is also a conversion table somewhere which helps you to convert your score into your playing level. For example 100 is beginner level and 2500+ is A grade tournament level. If you're not part of the SquashLevels, please try it. At the moment eight of our league players are part of this scheme.

I know at the end of a long squash match it's hard to keep track of your set scores, but these also feed into the squash levels. When you submit your result at the end of a match the drop down boxes allow you to also submit the scores of each game. The game scores show up when you click on 'Score Details' which are in blue in the top left corner of the league. It's also a good way of helping you to track your progress against individual players. You can also find the league history of the last three years at the bottom of the league tables page.

I hope you might find the information above useful.

All the best for May.

Stephen (Internal Leagues Organiser)
